Keep identifiers intact when moving data into Excel
A CSV file is a plain-text table, while XLSX is an Excel workbook. This converter writes the CSV values into one worksheet as text. That is useful for product codes, postal codes, account identifiers, and other values whose leading zeros must survive. For example, 00123 remains 00123 rather than becoming the number 123.
Check the delimiter and choose numeric columns afterward
Use comma-separated UTF-8 input with a consistent number of fields in each row. Semicolon-separated or tab-separated exports should be saved again using commas before upload. The limit is 100,000 rows and 1,000 columns. Because all values start as text, change the intended numeric or date columns in Excel after downloading if you want calculations or date sorting.

Will leading zeros survive?
Yes. CSV values are written as text, so identifiers such as 00123 remain intact. You can change column types in Excel after downloading.
Will CSV formulas run in the workbook?
No. Input values are written as text, including strings that begin with an equals sign. If you need a formula, add it deliberately in your spreadsheet editor after reviewing the converted data.
Why are my converted numbers stored as text?
Text storage preserves the original values and leading zeros. Convert only the columns that represent numbers in Excel after downloading. Keep identifier columns as text so codes are not reformatted.
